2017 Biscuit Art Exhibition

KNOXVILLE, TENN- The International Biscuit Festival 2017 has begun accepting submissions for the Festival’s Biscuit Art Exhibition. The exhibition will open May 5, 2017 in downtown Knoxville and will last through May 31, 2017.

The Biscuit Art Exhibition will feature artwork with a Biscuit theme. Previous winners have created a multitude of unique pieces, with Best in Show 2016 going to Silas Grimes for his stained glass piece “Biscuits of Divinity.” Submissions are open to all artists 18 or older and works may be created in all 2D and 3D media. The deadline for entries is March 25, 2017 at midnight.

The exhibition will be juried by Adam Alfrey, Curator of Exhibitions/Operations, East Tennessee History Center and the Knox County Public Library, as well as Striped Light Letterpress Studio Founder/artist Sarah Shebaro.

The selected Biscuit artwork will be exhibited in downtown Knoxville at local favorite Coffee and Chocolate. One Best in Show award and two Merit awards will be presented on First Friday, May 5th, 2017. A total of $1,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded.
